The moon tonight cast an eerie glow,
Casting long shadows to the earth below,
The stars too seem to lose their light,
That somehow magnify this incoming fright.
The clouds that part seems tired to hide,
The moons forsaken and forgotten side,
Where light seems to have never come,
Where its tale the words were not given but mum.
What hope does the race of mortals have,
When the heavens light the darkness halved,
When the sky returns to its state of dim,
And the world is covered by its share of sin.
Even fools know where that darkness reside,
That even the preachers though futile lie they tried,
Praying deeply for divine intervention,
Heads up high but their mortality they fail to mention.
What does this earth left as a delight?
When everything is being robbed of light,
When hope of absolution seems to slip further away,
Leaving no room for feeling but that of dismay.
How could one find its lost sheep?
When in bed they lay and their slumber too deep,
Waiting until daybreak for the sun to bring its shine,
Failing to care to a treasure, a treasure called time.
When will we stand up and decide?
When all is lost and chance did died?
As we remain idle the light will go out soon,
And then it comes, the dark side of the moon.
